I have been successful at managing and bringing together different individuals to continuously overcome the ever growing challenges of Revenue Cycle as it relates to Healthcare. I am always open to new ideas, and adjust to new and changing regulations. Revenue Cycle is a moving target with yet some predictive goals.
I started at NY Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical College as a registrar in the department of Rehabilitation Medicine about 25 years ago, where I had my first professional introduction into the world of healthcare. Over the years I have had several promotions which moved me up the ranks to Manager of Professional Services in the department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. I made these transitions into different roles at Weill Cornell while studying for my 2 degrees. I graduated from St. Joseph’s College in May, 2002, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Healthcare Administration, and further committed to earning my Master of Science degree in Human Resource Administration from Central Michigan University in December, 2005.
After 9/11, I made the decision to leave the city to work on Long Island, which is closer to home. My latest employment was with Northwell Health, formerly known as North Shore Long Island Jewish Hospital (NSLIJ). I worked in the capacity as the Assistant Director of Revenue Cycle for past 6 years, and 3 of those years specifically in the Department of Radiation Medicine. I now look forward to my new journey here at Queens Medical Associates.
In my spare time, I like to travel and take salsa lessons.
